Fret Hammer

The fret hammer is an essential tool to seat frets in the fingerboard. It has a comfortable wooden handle with two, 7/8" threaded heads for both power and finesse.

The plastic head is used primarily to reduce denting and damage to the frets while hammering.

A stubborn fret can sometimes need a little more persuasion and using the brass end will give you a little more force to seat a fret completely.

Spool Clamp

Spool clamps allow you to clamp the top of the guitar without the stress from awkward, heavy steel cabinet clamps. Typically, 25 spool clamps will be enough clamps to get you good pressure all the way around. You can never have too many clamps, especially if you are working on multiple guitars at once.

20" Radius Sanding Block

The hard "rock" maple block is used to create a slight but accurate radius on the fingerboard using PSA adhesive back sandpaper.

Binding & Purfling Router Bit and Bearings

This combination of bit and bearings is used to cut the binding and also either 4, 5 or 6 pieces of purfling that are included in the USGK products. The spacing between the cutter and the bearing allows the bearing to ride on the side of the guitar whether the user cuts the binding or purfling first.
