Binding & Purfling Router Bit and Bearings

This combination of bit and bearings is used to cut the binding and also either 4, 5 or 6 pieces of purfling that are included in the USGK products. The spacing between the cutter and the bearing allows the bearing to ride on the side of the guitar whether the user cuts the binding or purfling first.

The Binding & Purfling Complete Set includes a .88, .86, .84 & .82 bearing to cut the top and back binding channel. Because the back is rounded both top to bottom and side to side, the router will not sit completely flat and therefore will not cut an even thickness all the way around the perimeter. The Complete Set also included the .58, .64 & .70 bearings for the purfling options (4, 5 or 6 pieces).

We suggest that builders also have the .86 and .84 bearings to cut a deeper channel where needed. These two bearing will provide a huge time saver with a perfect cut every time. These are included in the Binding & Purfling Complete Set.
